Rocket sirens sounded in Israeli communities near the Israeli border with Egypt on Sunday. The military said that the incident was a false alarm.

The sirens were heard in the Ramat Negev Regional Council and the Neveh Midbar Regional Council, in southern Israel. 

On Friday, militants attacked a crowded mosque during Friday prayers in Egypt's northern Sinai Peninsula, killing some 305 people in the deadliest ever attack on civilians in modern Egyptian history.
