Palestinian reports said that Akram Alatesh, 23, was hit by three bullets in the upper body and has been taken for treatment in Hadassah Ein Karem hospital in Jerusalem.
The Israeli army said that clash between the soldiers and Palestinians erupted when the force entered the camp to make arrests. The soldiers said that rocks and firebombs were thrown at them, according to the army spokesman.
The soldiers reported opening fire towards a Palestinian who threw a firebomb in their direction and confirm having hit him.
