Palestinian Man Shot by Israeli Guard at West Bank Checkpoint

A 55-year-old  man was seriously wounded Monday after being shot by an Israeli security guard at a checkpoint near the West Bank city of Tul Karem. The man was evacuated to a hospital in Israel.

According to security guards who were standing at the checkpoint, the man was shot after he ran toward them in a suspicious manner. No weapons were found on the man, however, and the event is being examined.

Meanwhile, clashes between Palestinians and Israeli security forces erupted in Nabi Saleh in the . According to the ministry of health in Ramallah, three demonstrators were wounded by live ammunition in the legs and evacuated to a nearby hospital in moderate condition.
