Palestinian Holding Screwdriver Arrested Outside West Bank Settlement

Suspect dropped the screwdriver and was arrested after soldier cocked his rifle.

A Palestinian man was arrested Sunday by Israeli soldiers who saw him pull out a screwdriver outside the West Bank settlement of Zufim.

One soldier cocked his rifle and called for the approaching Palestinian to stop. The suspect responded by dropping the screwdriver and the incident ended in an arrest.

On Saturday, three people were hurt in a suspected stabbing attack in the Old City of Jerusalem, according to police and the Magen David Adom emergency service.

The suspected assailant, a 17-year-old Palestinian, was shot dead. According to Israeli medics, a police officer was moderately wounded and two civilians, aged 18 and 23, were lightly hurt in the incident.

On Wednesday, a Palestinian from East Jerusalem was shot and killed by police officers after pulling out a pari of scissors and trying to stab a group of officers by the Old City's Damascus Gate.
