Live Aid lineup announced

Shlomi Saranga and the rock band Boom Pam, Esther Rada and the Congolese band Bilaka, and singers Miriam Toukan, Noam Rotem and Rami Danoch will be among the performers at the Live Aid 2012 event to mark International Human Rights Day on December 7, the organizers announced yesterday. The official song for the event, to be held in Tel Aviv's Rabin Square, is "To Be a Person" by Avihu Medina, to be performed by Neta Elkayam. (Uri Zer Aviv )

Missoni bows out of Fashion Week

The Italian fashion house Missoni, which was supposed to debut its 2013 pre-fall collection at Tel Aviv Fashion Week between December 16-19, has canceled its appearance due to the security situation in Israel. The fashion exhibition - which is not connected to the fashion week held two weeks ago in Tel Aviv - will be held at the city's Gindi compound (the former wholesale market area ). Despite the cancellation of what was to be the opening display, organizers said yesterday that the event will go on as planned. (Haaretz Staff )

Yair Nitzani to host Channel 10 culture magazine

Yair Nitzani, who previously hosted a satire program on Channel 10, is returning to the channel with a weekly half-hour cultural magazine, to be called "Ktzat Gavoha." The show is another attempt by a major channel to introduce a cultural program during prime time, and will explore issues relating to theater, the plastic arts, dance and more. It will air Tuesdays after the investigative program, "Hamakor." (Gili Izikovich )
