Netanyahu to Have Medical Procedure; Will Be Briefly Under Light Sedation

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is to undergo a medical procedure on Thursday evening to break up a bladder stone.

He will be under light sedation during the treatment.

Cabinet Minister Zeev Elkin will be acting prime minister until the sedatives wear off.

Netanyahu's personal physician, Dr. Zvi Herman Berkowitz, will be at his side during the procedure.
