Netanyahu Recovers From Bladder Stone Procedure, Returns to Work

Prime Minister was under anesthesia for procedure to shatter urinary bladder stone

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has fully recovered from surgery to remove a stone in his urinary bladder on Thursday evening and returned to work on Friday morning, his bureau said.

Netanyahu was under anesthesia during the procedure.

Environmental Protection Minister Zeev Elkin served as acting prime minister while Netanyahu was under sedation.

The prime minister's bureau said that the procedure was conducted at Hadassah University Hospital in Ein Karem, Jerusalem by the head of the urology department, Prof. Ofer Gofrit, along with the head of the endourology unit, Dr. Mordechai Duvdevani.  Netanyahu's personal physician, Dr. Tzvi Berkovich, attended the procedure.
