Multiple drowning incidents Thursday left two people dead and two hospitalized in serious condition.

Two young children drowned near the mouth of the Jordan River and Lake Kinneret in the northern Galilee. One of the children, a 7-year-old boy, drowned to death while the other child was rescued and hospitalized in a nearby hospital.

Meanwhile, a 62-year-old French man drowned to death while swimming at an unofficial beah in Ashdod. According to the two eyewitnesses who saw him struggling in the water, by the time the lifeguard arrived from the adjacent beach he was already dead.

Earlier, a 16-ear-old girl was rescued from drowning in the north and hospitalized in serious condition in the Nahariya hospital.
