An Israeli woman was moderately wounded Wednesday in a West Bank stabbing attack, less than an  hour after a knife-wielding Palestinian was shot dead by Israeli soldiers in Hebron.

According to the police, the incident took place in a supermarket parking lot near the Gush Etzion Junction. The victim sustained a knife wound to her upper body. Israel Defense Forces soldiers fired shots at the assailant but he wasn't hit. He was then arrested.

The attack occured minutes after an attempted stabbing in Hebron. According to an initial investigation, a Palestinian attempted to stab IDF soldiers during a security check in the city and was shot dead.

Clashes erupted between Palestinians and Israeli forces immediately following the incident. The incident took place in the same location where a knife-wielding Palestinian woman was shot dead Monday night.

The incident took place as Richard Lakin, 76, who died of wounds sustained in an October 13 terror attack in Jerusalem, was laid to rest.
