The police have released a 28-year-old man they suspected of murdering a 60-year-old Tel Aviv man a month ago.
Former Border Policeman Adlua Mula was released under restrictive conditions after the police concluded that they didn’t have sufficient evidence to charge him with murder.
Mula underwent a polygraph test while in detention, which indicated he was telling the truth when he claimed he was not the murderer and had no connection to the incident. Police originally said they believed Mula met the victim after arranging to meet via social media, and murdered him after they had sex in the man’s apartment.
The police still believe the victim was murdered and are searching for additional suspects.
