Israeli Man Kills Terminally Ill Wife Before Committing Suicide

The couple, in their 60s, left suicide notes; medics fought to save their lives.

The bodies of a man and a woman, both in their 60s, were found shot to death Thursday in their apartment in Ma’aleh Adumim. According to the police, the man had shot and killed his wife, who had a terminal illness, and then committed suicide. The couple left suicide notes.

Magen David Adom said that they were called to the apartment by neighbors who heard shots fired.

Danny Richter, a Magen David Adom paramedic called to the scene, said that they found the man and woman with bullet wounds to their upper body. “We tried to give them medical treatment but their injuries were very severe and shortly after we arrived we pronounced them dead.
