A 25-year-old man was lightly wounded on Thursday afternoon near the Ahim Yisrael mall in Jerusalem's Talpiot industrial zone.

The cause of injury was not clear and a spokeswoman for the Jerusalem police said all possible angles are being investigated. The incident occurred a few hours after two soldiers were hurt in a West Bank stabbing.

The initial investigation showed the victim had suffered a blow to the head while standing in front of a shop outside the mall, and a witness reported the injurty to police, she added.

Magen David Adom medics took the injured man to Hadassah Hospital in Ein Karem and revealed that the victim was stabbed after leaving a store in the vicinity of the mall. A Magen David emergency medical crew took him to Hadassah University Hospital at Ein Karem.

Following the stabbing, police scoured a wide area around the mall. Police were investigating the incident, the spokeswoman said.

Earlier on Thursday, a 20-year-old female soldier was stabbed at a highway junction in the northern West Bank near the settlement of Ariel. Her two assailants, residents of Beit Fajjar near the West Bank city of Bethlehem, were shot to death at the scene.
