Israeli Attacked by Mob, Rescued by Palestinian Forces After Driving Into West Bank Town

The Israeli army says the man drove into the village accidentally before some 200 Palestinians threw rocks at him and later burned his car

A violent riot broke out in the West Bank village of Abu Dis on Friday after an Israeli man, 59, drove into the town by car. 

According to the Israeli army, some 200 Palestinians threw rocks at the man's car after he drove into the village by accident.

In coordination with the Civil Administration, Palestinian police forces proceded to rescue the man and escorted him to safety. Meanwhile, the rioters burned the man's car.

Abu Dis

The man sustained light injuries in the incident.

Abu Dis is located near the Israeli settlement of Ma'ale Adumim, just east of Jerusalem.
