Iran Threatens Israel With Hezbollah Retaliation if Islamic Republic Is Attacked

Iranian supreme leader's military advisor says Israeli threats are placing the citizens of Israel 'a step away from the grave.'

A Senior Iranian official warned on Saturday that if Israel will attack its nuclear facilities, it will also respond with Hezbollah.

Yahya Rahim Safavi, Iran's supreme leader Ali Khamenei's military advisor, said that if Israel decides to attack Iran in the future, then "the resistance group, and especially Hezbollah, will easily respond."

According to Safavi, the "cheeky" statements made by senior Israeli officials threatening military action against Iran, place the citizens of Israel "a step away from the grave."

Only recently, Hasan Nasrallah, Secretary General of the Hezbollah, threatened that if Israel were to attack Iran, American targets across the Middle East would be immediately subject to attacks.

The Iranian regime keeps close ties with Hezbollah, but has refrained from explicitly threatening that the Lebanese Shiite organization would take action against Israel if its nuclear program is attacked.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Friday that he was certain that the "Zionists" would disappear and that the world would be free from their existence. He explained that all the nations of the world should stay united against the Zionist conspiracies that are destined to fail.

According to Ahmadinejad, the Obama administration has reached the conclusion that the Zionist regime could not be of any use to them and for that reason Israel is trying to disturb "the game."
