The suspect in Saturday's murder in Holon was found dead in Ramat Gan on Sunday morning.

The suspect, 63-year-old Alfonso Azaria, had been on the run after a man was found dead in his Holon apartment on Saturday. The victim, 55, was discovered with a knife in his upper torso. He was a resident of Ramat Gan.

Azaria’s car was found abandoned on the Ayalon Highway on Saturday, apparently after it was involved in a crash with a minibus. Azaria fled the scene before the police arrived.

The police are trying to ascertain whether the traffic accident took place while Azaria was fleeing after allegedly committing the murder in his apartment, or whether the accident was the motive for the murder, police sources said.
