Girl, 15, Lightly Injured in East Jerusalem Stabbing; Investigation Underway

A 15-year-old girl suffered light injuries to her neck and hand in a stabbing on Wednesday morning in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of East Talpiot, an area commonly known as Armon Hanatziv.

The incident took place near the girl's house. She told police investigators that she had been stabbed on the street by an unknown man who fled the scene. Israel Police has opened an investigation.

Magen David Adom emergency workers said they provided medical treatment to the girl at her home before she was evacuated to Shaare Zedek Medical Center.
