He’s not a grizzled hack or a new white hope of the left. Nor is he a former general or high-tech entrepreneur. His Wikipedia entry offers a few colorful details – like his being a former amateur boxer and talk-show host. One cable news broadcaster even wondered whether Yair Lapid is similar to Donald Trump, coming from the world of entertainment to take the top office.
