Two months ago, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was considering whether to lodge a second request with the Knesset for parliamentary immunity from prosecution. The plan was to claim that due to changes in the indictment, it was effectively a new charge-sheet, and he should be allowed to once again request the immunity which he had been denied a year earlier.
