'Popula Problems' will be released worldwide on September 21, two days before the music legend turns 80.

Israeli fans of Leonard Cohen have been given early access to his latest album – just in time for the High Holidays. While the album, "Popular Problems," will be released worldwide on September 23 - two days after Cohen turns 80 - Israelis will be able to purchase it from Friday, according to the Israel 21C website.

The Canadian poet and musician agreed to a special request from his Israeli distributors that Israeli fans be able to buy the new disc before stores close for Rosh Hashanah on September 24, Israel Radio reported. “Popular Problems” includes nine new songs of hope and despair, grief and joy, according to a press release.
