Spears is expected in Israel as part of her concert tour to Asia. The performance has not been finalized yet, but its producers said they plan to announce the opening of ticket sales and prices in a few days. Reports that Spears was coming to Israel have been made in the past, but this time seems to be the real thing.
Spears began her musical career in 1999 with the single “Hit me baby one more time.” A seven-time Grammy nominee, she won the award in the Best Dance Recording category for “Toxic” in 2005. In 2011, MTV awarded Spears its Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
To date, Spears has sold upward of 240 million albums, DVDs and singles, which makes her the highest earning female pop artist of the 21st century.
Spears has paid a high price for her fame, with frequent stays at various rehab facilities, as well as a nervous breakdown during the time of her marriage and divorce from Kevin Federline, who was one of her backup dancers.
