Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron has optioned the rights to an Israeli reality television show, Israeli media reported Monday.
The show, called “Ha’aron” in Hebrew (“Whose Closet Is It Anyway?”), follows three women with a distinct style and a strong fashion sense as they trade wardrobes and learn about the impact that style has one’s life and personality. Participants have to change their entire look and try on different styles different, all while going about their usual routines.
Theron’s production company Denver & Delilah joined forces with Bunim/Murray Productions to option “Whose Closet is it Anyway?” produced in Israel by Keshet and Fucshia Productions. It is the American companies’ first unscripted initiative.
“Charlize and her Denver & Delilah team have wonderful instincts and a fresh perspective which we think is a big plus in creating and selling reality television,” Jonathan Murray, chairman of Bunim/Murray Productions, said.
The American format of another Keshet production with Herzliya Studios, “Deal With It,” also began airing in the States this month on TBS. Its first episode garnered more than 2 million viewers.
