British comedian John Cleese will play a role in Israeli writer-director Reshef Levy’s next film. Film industry website “The Hollywood Reporter,” released a report on Wednesday from the Cannes Film Festival, stating that Cleese was cast to appear in Levy’s next film, “Hunting Elephants,” alongside Sasson Gabai and Moni Moshonov.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the former Monty Python star will play an eccentric British lord, “who gets mixed up with a group of Israeli misfits who hatch a plan to rob a bank to get the money they need to save their family home.”
The film, written by Levy, follows Jonathan, a 12-year-old boy whose life is turned upside down after his father dies in an accident at a bank he works for. After the bank refuses to take responsibility for the accident, Jonathan decides to rob the bank with the help of three senior citizens.
