Lena Dunham to Host Saturday Night Live
Jewish creator, star of HBO's hit series 'Girls,' will make her SNL debut on March 8.
Lena Dunham, the Jewish creator and star of HBO's hit series "Girls," will make her Saturday Night Live hosting debut on March 8, NBC said on Tuesday.
Dunham will be joined by indie rock band The National, who will be making their first musical appearance on the show.
"Girls," which has reached it's third season, catapulted Dunham to media stardom. She has been nominated for Emmy Awards eight times as a writer, director, actress and producer, and she won two Golden Globe Awards for "Girls."
In 2013, she was named one of TIME magazine's most influential people in the world.
Earlier this year, Dunham made headlines after website Jezebel offered $10,000 bounty for unretouched photos of her after she was featured on the cover of Vogue Magazine.
