The PBS series "Makers: The Women Who Make America Series" will feature interviews with two major American Jewish female celebrities: Girls star Lena Dunham and comedian Sarah Silverman.

Dunham is the creater, writer and producer of the HBO show "Girls," which has catapulted Dunam to media stardom, largely due to how she freely exposes her un-model like, less-than-perfect body on the show. She has been nominated for Emmy Awards eight times as a writer, director, actress and producer, and she won two Golden Globe Awards for "Girls." In 2013, she was named one of TIME magazine's most influental people in the world.

She also recently made headlines after website Jezebel offered $10,000 bounty for unretouched photos of her after she was featured on the cover of Vogue Magazine.

Sarah Silverman, a well known American stand-up comedian and actress, is also famous in Israel for having a sister who is active with Women of the Wall. Rabbi Susan Silverman has been arrested for participating in prayers at the Wester Wall in Jerusalem.

Other celebrities include actress, producer and activist, Jane Fonda, 75, who stars in the award-winning TV series The Newsroom; Shonda Rhimes, the creator of Grey's Anatomy and Scandal; and screenwriter Linda Woolverton.
