For a spot on the grass, tickets to Lady Gaga's concert in Hayarkon Park on September 13 will go for NIS 370. For a seat toward the front, fans will pay NIS 1,250 and for one right near the stage they'll have-to pay NIS 1,450, ynetnews reports. (These are the same prices as Justin Timberlake fetched for his May 28 show, and roughly half that of the June 4 Rolling Stones concert, where tickets ranged from NIS 695 to NIS 2,850.)
The upcoming Gaga show is part of the flamboyant singer's world tour titled "Lady Gaga's artRAVE: The ARTPOP ball." Her connection with the art world goes back to her high school days at Manhattan's Collaborative Arts Project 21.
Lady Gaga (real name: Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta) first appeared in Israel in 2009, just as she was becoming a star and favorite of the LGBT community, and of the intellectual crowd attracted to the bold, often inscrutable artistic statements she makes in her public appearances, videos and albums such as "The Fame Monster," "Born This Way" and "Artpop."
