Rock music fans in Israel have two more reasons to rejoice: The Hives and Gogol Bordello will be joining The Pixies and Soundgarden at a summer music festival scheduled for Bloomfield Stadium in Jaffa.
The RockN'Roller Festival, which takes place for the first time this year, is planned for June 17-18 and will showcase international and local talents.
The Pixies and The Hives, a Swedish garage rock band, are scheduled to rock the festival's first day, while Soundgarden, gypsy punk band Gogol Bordello and Israeli artist Elisha Banai and his band the Forty Thieves are on the roster for the second day.
Israeli graffiti artist Pilpeled will be designing the festival's visual elements. Tickets for the event, produced by Shuki Weiss, are already on sale, ranging from 330 shekels (about $95) for one night to 590 shekels ($169) for both nights.
