Hapoalim Revealed as Interested Party With 5.03% Stake in Gazit Globe

Clal Insurance, Migdal also own interests greater than 5% in the real estate company

Gazit Globe (TASE: GLOB) has a new interested shareholder, which means somebody with 5% or more of its stock: Bank Hapoalim (TASE: POLI).

The bank now owns 5.03% of Gazit Globe, which invests in real estate mainly outside Israel.

Other interested parties in Gazit Globe include Migdal Insurance (TASE: MGDL) (5.12%) and Clal Insurance (TASE: CLIS) (6.17%).

Bank Hapoalim achieved its shareholding through its mutual funds and provident funds. The actual transaction that lifted its shareholding beyond 5%, into the realm where the holding must be reported, was last week, when a fund bought 30,000 shares for NIS 46.30 each.
