Yair Pecht, chief executive of EDS Israel, today announced that he's leaving the company for Alcatel-Lucent Israel.

Pecht was one of the founders of EDS Israel in 1995 and has been at the company for 12 years, serving as its CEO for the last seven of them.

Alcatel-Lucent Israel has had no CEO at all since the last one, Eli Keren, was fired.

Pecht commented that he was leaving behind an excellent management team, some of which had helped found the company. He added that he had thought hard about his decision but had wanted to break into a new area.
