El Al on Thursday announced a special promotion for two days next week: On January 21 and 22, which also happens to be Election Day, travelers can buy discounted tickets for departures between April 8 and June 29 this year.

The airline is offering flights to a number of international destinations at discounted prices, said CMO Einat Yanai. So how much can travelers expect to save? Up to $150 to Europe; up to $200 to North America; and up to $300 to the Far East and South Africa. (The deal excludes North Africa, Johannesburg and Hong Kong.)
El Al will also allow travelers to sign up for its frequent flier club free of charge during those two days.
Around 15,000 tickets will be allocated toward the promotion, Yanai said. Tickets to Rome and Berlin will start at $349; Barcelona at $449; Amsterdam $469; and New York and Hong Kong at $999.
"Election Day is a national holiday," Yanai said, explaining that people have free time for leisure and shopping. "That's why El Al is selling tickets at reduced prices on this day, and the day before it. We're allowing passengers to get a head start on their spring holidays, while enjoying attractive rates."
