Israeli startup Evento has signed an agreement to provide its social media ticketing app, SitNearMe, for the National Basketball Association's Denver Nuggets and the National Hockey League's Colorado Avalanche.

The deal signed with the teams' owner Kroenke Sports, will mean that fans can use the app to purchase tickets to the teams' games on Facebook. The app also links Facebook users' profiles with their seats, allowing spectators to find where their friends are seated in the sporting venue. In addition, SitNearMe has analytical tools to help teams identify fans influential on social networks and help turn them into team ambassadors.

Evento and Kroenke Sports did not release any financial details regarding the deal.

We have over 1.2 million Nuggets Facebook fans, one of the most active and engaged followings in the NBA," said Che Vialpando, Denver Nuggets Senior Vice President of Team Sales. Attending a game is one of the most exciting experiences for a fan, so we wanted to enable our robust social fan-base an opportunity to purchase seats near their friends.

Other teams owned by Kroenke Sports expected to integrate the app into their ticket sales operations include the Major Soccer League's Colorado Rapids and the National Lacrosse League's Colorado Mammoth. The app for the Denver Nugget is already up and running, while the Kroenke's other teams are expected to begin using the app soon.

In Israel, Evento has signed already signed deals with Maccabi Haifa and Israel's National Team.
