Israel’s three longstanding cellular service providers, Cellcom, Pelephone and Partner Communications, which does business as Orange, have launched a pre-sale of Apple’s new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

The price for the phones is higher than in many other countries. Cellcom will be selling the 16 GB iPhone 6 model for 3,690 shekels ($995).

Pelephone is offering the same model for 7 shekels less while Partner declined to provide the information, suggesting that customers call its service center.

The cellular firms are selling the iPhone 6 Plus at around 4,230 shekels. The prices of new iPhone models generally drop shortly after they are launched.
