Hebrew U. Licenses Medical Marijuana Technology to Australian Company

Method of enhancing marijuana's medical effectiveness was developed by two professors at the pharmacology department of Hebrew University Medical School.

Yissum Research Development, the technology transfer company of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, announced recently that it has signed an exclusive licensing agreement with Phytotech Medical of Australia for the development and marketing of technology designed to enhance the medical effectiveness of the active ingredients in cannabis.

The method was developed by two professors at the pharmacology department of Hebrew University Medical School, Abraham Domb and Amnon Hoffman. Phytotech, which is based in suburban Perth, is the first medical marijuana firm to be listed on the Australian Securities Exchange.
