Yaakov Katz, 37, will replace Steve Linde as Editor-in-Chief of the Jerusalem Post, it was revealed Wednesday.

Katz, who began his journalistic career as a copy editor for Haaretz English Edition, was military correspondent at the Jerusalem Post from 2003 to 2013, when he was appointed advisor for Minister of Education Naftali Bennett.

"Yaakov Katz my foreign policy advisor is moving to a new position as editor-in-chief of the Jerusalem Post. He is a talented, dedicated Zionist. A loss for me, a great gain for the media. Good luck!" Bennett tweeted Wednesday.

Linde, 55, has been editor-in-chief of the newspaper over the past five years and has worked at the paper for nearly 20 years in total.

"It is an honor and privilege to replace the amazing Steve Linde and head Jerusalem Post, a pillar of journalistic integrity and distinction," Katz tweeted.
