Autumn Hits Israel: First Rain and Isolated Thunderstorms Expected

Temperatures will drop on Monday, hitting lows unusual for the season

Israel's first rain of the season fell on Sunday afternoon.

Rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected in northern Israel and along the coast starting on Sunday afternoon, heralding the beginning of fall. 

Intermittent rain is expected to gradually reach the Negev Desert's northern parts overnight. 

Temperatures will drop on Monday, hitting lows unusual for the season. Intermittent rain and occasional thunderstorms are expected on Monday morning, primarily in central and northern Israel. Light rain is expected in the north of the Negev. 

Tuesday will be partly cloudy, with temperatures rising slightly, while remaining colder than usual. Local rains are expected in the morning.
