On Monday morning, as a wildfire in the Jerusalem area was raging for a second, the aftermath of what it had caused the day before was revealed.
The flames incinerated an area of at least 4,200 acres, while leaving behind large amounts of air pollution in the towns in the Judean Hills area.
The Fire and Rescue Service was working through Monday to extinguish the fire in five different spots, and Israel has requested international assistance in bringing the blaze under control.
