The assailant behind the attack was captured by Givat Ze'ev resident after he entered the settlement's gas station and stabbed an Israeli in his 30s, the Israel Police said in statement.
The police identified the attacker as an 18-year-old and said he was caught after attempting to flee the scene, with locals chasing him 200 meters. According to the police he tried to dispose of his knife while fleeing.
A police unit present in the area was alerted to the scene, where they overtook the assailant, who they said was holding an additional knife at the time. He was evacuated to a Jerusalem hospital with light wounds.
