The rocket siren sounded earlier Thursday was a false alarm, the Sdot Negev Region Council Said.

Rocket alert sounded in near Gaza border

The IDF are investigating whether a rocket hit Israel Thursday afternoon after the Color Red alert siren was sounded in the south, near the border with Gaza.

Residents said they did not hear the sound of an explosion, indicating that it might have been a false alarm.
