Suspected assailant sent to OR

The suspected assailant is sent to the operating room at the Barzilai Medical Center after suffering extensive wounds to abdomen and pelvis.

Suspected assailant identified as a foreign national

The man suspected in the stabbing is identified as a foreign national.

According to the police, a soldier who witnessed the attack grabbed the victim's weapon and began chasing the suspect, who was fleeing on foot.

The soldier shot the suspect after pursuing him for a few blocks.

According to the police, the attack appears to have been "nationalistically" motivated. The victim and the suspect were not acquainted and did not exchange words before the attack.

Assailant in serious condition

The assailant behind the Ashkelon stabbing attack is in serious condition after being shot and wounded.

Ashkelon stabbing victim is a soldier

The youth wounded in the stabbing in Ashkelon is a soldier. He was taken to the Barzilai Medical Center with a light wound to his upper body. 

A suspect in the stabbing was shot and a captured, the police said. He was taken to the hospital in moderate condition.
