A forest fire broke out at Hazorea Forest near the northern city of Yokne’am on Thursday, leading to the evacuation of a summer camp set up there.

The fire broke near the site of a scouts summer camp where 3,000 campers were staying. Police evacuated them from the site as a security precaution, but they later returned to the camp.
No injuries were reported, and policemen were scouring the forest to locate and evacuate other hikers.
Eight teams of firefighters and six firefighting planes were battling the fire.
Officials from the Israel Nature and Parks Authority and Magen David Adom had set up a command post at the site.
