The Amana organization, the main settlement arm of Gush Emunim, on which Canada imposed sanctions on June 27, doesn't like to be in the glare of the spotlight. Even though estimates put the value of its assets at hundreds of millions of shekels, even though all corridors of power in Jerusalem are open to it and even though it exercises vast influence on life in Israel, the public knows very little about it.
