Israel and Hamas are both interested in reaching a hostage release deal by the start of Ramadan next month, but despite the optimism of recent days many obstacles remain
Israel and Hamas both want to conclude the hostage deal in the next month, to overlap with Ramadan. According to foreign sources, both sides would like the deal to come into effect close to March 10, when Ramadan begins, but it may only happen later, during the month-long holiday.
