Israel and Hezbollah's Deterrence Balance Hinges on Hamas Deal in Cairo

A little less than a week has passed since France unveiled its proposal for a cease-fire on the Israel-Lebanon border. Reuters on Tuesday reported its details provided an opportunity for Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah to offer his "official" response. "A cease-fire on the border of occupied Palestine depends on there being a cease-fire in Gaza," he declared in a speech to mark the annual Day of the Wounded.
