Netanyahu Is Preparing His Alibi for Keeping Hamas Rule in the Gaza Strip
The declarations about an IDF ground operation in Rafah, along with the denial of any day-after plan for Gaza, may allow the Prime Minister to accuse the U.S. of failing to fulfill its promise of 'total victory' over Hamas. There are still no signs that Israel is close to this goal
Israeli leaders have in recent days been talking increasingly about the possibility it may send the army into Rafah.
