Ironically, the Merriam-Webster dictionary’s for November 6 was “terraform” – meaning to transform a planet (or an area) so it is suitable for supporting human life. This is also the story of Gaza’s “day after” , and it is at the core of the growing divergence of interests between Israel and the United States. The Americans are thinking about terraforming Gaza as a desirable outcome through several modalities, while Israel is apparently not thinking about the issue at all.
