Israeli Mother, Child Seriously Wounded in Jordan Boating Accident
The family of four was struck by a steam-propelled boat during their vacation in Aqaba, a port city that has become a popular destination for Israelis

Four Israelis were struck in a boating accident in Aqaba off of Jordan's Red Sea coast on Saturday when their vessel was hit by a steam-propelled boat, leaving two of them in serious condition.
The family of four was rescued at around 3 A.M. on Sunday by two airlifts with the assistance of the Foreign Ministry.
The Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer said that the 40-year-old mother and her 14-year-old son are sedated and intubated, while the father and a second son are being treated for light wounds.
Aqaba is on the northern tip of the Red Sea, across the border from the Israeli city of Eilat. Both are popular beach and diving destinations.
Last week, a poisonous gas leak in at the city's port killed at least 13 people and injured some 250.
