Israel Arrests 17 Palestinians in West Bank Overnight, Army Says
Israel's military has conducted nearly nightly West Bank operations since a wave of terror attacks began a few months ago

Israeli forces arrested 17 "wanted" Palestinians across several locations in the West Bank overnight on Sunday, according to the Israeli army spokesperson.
The operation targeted Palestinians "suspected of involvement in terror activities" from Jenin, the Jordan Valley, and Jalazone and Dheisheh refugee camps, and the IDF also confiscated various weapons, the spokesperson said.
During the course of the arrests in Jenin, said the spokesperson, Israeli forces came under fire from Palestinians. And while in Jalazone refugee camp, "a number of suspects threw stones toward the forces, who responded with demonstration-control measures," the IDF statement added.
The Israeli army has conducted near-nightly operations in the West Bank since a fresh wave of terror attacks, which have left 19 dead, began hitting Israel earlier this year.

The military operations, which have focused largely on Jenin and nearby villages, have left over 30 Palestinians killed, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
Earlier this month, two Palestinians were killed within 24 hours during clashes with the Israeli military in two separate incidents in the West Bank. According to the Palestinian Health Ministry Ayman Mahisan, 29, was shot dead by Israeli forces during clashes at the Dheisheh refugee camp near Bethlehem. The day prior, Bilal Awad Qabha was shot dead in Ya'bad, and another Palestinian was critically wounded.
