A Palestinian woman approached an Israeli soldier while wielding a knife and was subsequently shot to death near the Al-Arroub refugee camp in the West Bank, the military said on Wednesday.
The soldiers suffered no casualties.
On Friday a 15-year-old Palestinian was shot dead in clashes with the Israeli military in the West Bank.
According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, Zaid Muhammad Ghnaim was hit by Israeli military fire in the neck and back in the village of al-Khader, near Bethlehem.
The military said that a number of suspects hurled stones and Molotov cocktails at Israeli forces while they were securing an intersection near the settlement of Efrat, and that the soldiers chased after the assailants.
During the chase, stones and Molotov cocktails were thrown at forces in al-Khader, who responded with live fire. "A hit was identified," a military statement said, adding that "Israeli forces gave first aid at the scene, and he was later evacuated by the Palestinian Red Crescent."
