Israeli Prime Minister's Chief of Staff Tal Gan-Zvi will resign from his post in the coming weeks, the latest result of infighting that saw the resignation of another senior adviser earlier this month.

Gan-Zvi, 41, has been at Bennett's side over the past decade at various posts and served as his political adviser in the past several election campaigns.

Bennett thanked Gan-Zvi on Monday, saying he is "saddened" by the decision but that he understands it. Gan-Zvi also thanked the prime minister for "the opportunities, the challenges and the accomplishments" that he was a part of.

Ten days ago, Bennett's senior political adviser Shimrit Meir announced her resignation. Alongside her work on Israeli diplomacy, Meir had helped spearhead Bennett's efforts to appeal to the political center, which some advisers argued betrayed the trust other Yamina lawmakers had in him.
