Why are so many seemingly intelligent pundits, activists and academics, from the right and the left, so insistent on foisting U.S. frameworks of political thinking on Israel? Ignorance and opportunism are only part of the answer

It’s the "Israeli Conservatism" conference where exponents of reining in the bloated public sector, the rapaciously activist court system and the radical progressives who apparently dominate Israel.
