The Palestinain man was identified as Yahya Ali Adwan. He was killed in a village near Qalqilya between after 1 A.M.

IDF forces were operating in the West Bank overnight following a terror attack in the settlement of Ariel in which one person was killed. The assailants fled the scene and a manhunt is still underway.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said that Adwan was formerly incarcerated.

Palestinian activists in Azzun said that Adwan has been arrested several times since 2010 for activities threatening the state's security, including once in 2019 and once more last year, and racked up seven-and-a-half years in prison.

Clashes between Palestinians and Israeli forces in the West Bank have been on the rise during the month of Ramadan. They follow a series of Israeli military raids launched in response to a recent wave of Palestinian terror attacks that has taken the lives of 14 Israelis since late March.
